This means that after you install the plugin, each time an image is requested by a visitor’s browser it will be delivered from the closest CDN node. This truly makes the sites move faster.

The original images remain unchanged. SPAI doesn’t touch the physical files. It only replaces the URLs and on-the-fly (when the page loads), not on the database.
